The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI) is primarily responsible for the formulation of educational policies, and the administration and regulation of education programmes in the island of Barbados. In 2013, the MESTI assumed the responsibility for development of national policies and programmes in the areas of science, technology, and innovation. There are currently 136 institutions which cater to the approximately 60,000 students in the Barbadian educational system.
The Medical Council of India was established in 1934 under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1933. The main function of the Council is to establish uniform standards of higher qualifications in medicine and to recognize medical qualifications in India and abroad. The Council facilitates reciprocity with foreign countries as it relates to the mutual recognition of medical qualifications.
The World Health Organization (WHO) aims to “build a better and healthier future for people all over the world”. In its early years, WHO recognized the need for a reliable list of all of the world’s medical schools in order to document where the world’s doctors were educated. The first edition of the WHO World Directory of Medical Schools was published in 1953. The World Health Organization’s World Directory of Medical Schools has now been transferred to the new World Directory of Medical Schools, which is an amalgamation of the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER) and the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).

The classrooms of WUB are built up with modern technology. They consist of a 3D animated teaching system with a media player. These classes are been recorded which indeed serves a great help for the absent students of that particular class. With the student- faculty ratio in the classroom lowest in its category, it is easy for the faculty to have individual attention over each student which makes the university unique in its class.
WUB provides a well-equipped laboratory which includes Anatomy, Microbiology and research labs. Faculty utilizes well equipped 3D technology with monitors connected to advanced media players to enhance the teaching experience.
