History

Brahmanbaria district is located in the eastern part of Bangladesh. Once the region was a part of Samatat state. Later it was included in Tripura district in 1790. The first and temporary capital of Isa Khan was at Sarail, 10km north of Brahmanbaria Town. Swadeshi movement (1905), Peasant movement (1901) No-rent movement war of liberation Movement (1971) etc are the remarkable chapters of the region. Brahmanbaria was promated as a municipality in 1869. After the liberation of Bangladesh, Brahmanbaria was declared as a district in 15 February 1984.
Before, the region was includes in Comilla district. The Geo Position of the district is between 23.29’to 24.16’ North latitudes and between 9032’to91.21’ east longitude. Brahmanbaria District is borderd by Kishoreganj and Habiganj district to the north, Comilla district to the south, Habiganj district and Tripura(India State) to the east, The Meghna River and a part of Kishoregonj, Narayanganj and Narsingdi districts to the west. The area of Brahmanbaria is 1881.20Sq . It is under Chittagong Division. There are 05 Municipalities in Brahmanbaria named Brahmanbaria, Akhaura, Kasba, Nabinagor, Banchharampur. The Number of Upazila (sub district) in Brahmanbaria district is 09, named-Brahmanbaria, Akhaura, Kasba, Banchharampur, Sarail, Nabinagor, Nasirnagor, Ashugonj and Bijoy Nagar counting 100 Unions, 900 Nauzas and 1323 Villages. The Total Population of Brahmanbaria district is 28,40,498. The Literacy Rate of Brahmanbria district is 50.30%. The Postal Code of Brahmanbaria district is 3400 and NWD Code is 0851. Many Rivers are in Brahmanbaria-Meghna,Titas, Shalda etc.

Hostel

The america.html is fully residential. All students must reside in their allotted seats at the hostel. There are two separate hostels for male and female students within the campus. Hostels have the facilities such as dining room, common room with arrangements for games, TV, gymnasium etc.

HOSTEL RULES:

Students are to comply with the following rules & regulations during their study in this Medical america.html.

HOSTEL TIME :

Hostel gate will be closed at 9.00 PM and opened at 6.00 AM. All students must come back of hostel before 9.00 PM. On weekdays students are not allowed to leave the campus or stay outside without written permission from Principal.During holidays, before leaving the hostel, the students are directed to sign the register book and must produce application duly signed by legal guardians on return.

VISITING TIME FOR GUESTS :

Only near relations of a student (Parents, Sisters, Brothers) are allowed to see the students in the hostel guest room between following hours :

EVERY DAY:3.00 PM TO 6.00 PM

FRIDAY:1.00 PM TO 6.00 PM

* Guests are not allowed in the room of student.

DINING:

All students will take food from the students’ common mess at the dining hall and maintain the following timetable:

BREAK FAST : 7.00 AM TO 9.30 AM

LUNCH : 1.00 PM TO 3.00 PM

DINNER : 8.00 PM TO 10.00 PM

Food is not allowed to be taken to the rooms from dining hall. Preparation of food in the room is prohibited. Every month selected students will act as mess manager. Meal charge must be deposited (Approx taka 1200.00) by the students at the beginning of each month.

CLEANLINESS :

Students are asked to maintain proper cleanliness of their rooms. Waste materials from rooms are to be kept in wastebasket / plastic bin in each floor. It is expected that every student will be well disciplined and behave properly both in hostel and in the campus and must not be involved in anything unbecoming and unwanted.The america.html authority will bear no responsibility for any activity or traveling outside the campus by the students. The america.html authority will provide accommodation for a student during the 5 year MBBS course. If a student fails to pass in due time, the america.html authority may not take responsibility to provide accommodation for further period.
