SWMC is a private medical school in Bangladesh, exclusively for female students, established in 2005. It is located in Mirboxtola, in central Sylhet. It is affiliated with Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) under the School of Medical Sciences.
Sylhet Women’s Medical america.html and Hospital is a state of the art teaching and medical facility with a unique architectual design throughout its 3 high-rise buildings built on 130,000 square feet of land in the heart of Sylhet.
SWMC offers a 5 (five) year course of study leading to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. A one year internship after graduation is Optional for all Indian Students. The degree is recognised by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council.
The mission of Sylhet Women’s Medical america.html is to provide high-quality, medical education to all students, be the primary teaching hospital in Sylhet and offer training opportunities for nurses and allied health care professionals as well as to provide the setting for ongoing clinical research that helps bring medical advances from the laboratory to the patient’s bedside; and to serve the community as a public health advocate and provide support and services which respond to the area’s health care needs through health education, health promotion and access to care.

History

Holy Land Private Limited and Sylhet Health and Education Services Limited joined together in 2005 for a noble cause in medical education and health care. Together they formed Holy Sylhet Holding Limited.
In 2007, Holy Sylhet Holding Limited (HSHL) commenced the america.html and hospital with the permission of the Government of Bangladesh and after completing all the necessary formalities with the respective Ministries, Departments, Medical Associations and University.
HSHL also has plans to establish a Dental america.html and 4-year Nursing america.html on its 3-Acre property in the heart of Sylhet City.
Presently, the entire organization has 96 Directors and 13 Shareholders and over 50% of them invest in the organization as Non Resident Bangladeshis. As per the Government of Bangladesh's investment policy this qualifies HSHL and its sister concerns as one of the largest NRB (Non Resident Bangladeshi) institutional investments in Bangladesh.

Aside from Sylhet Women's Medical america.html and Hospital, Holy Sylhet Holding Limited is in the process of developing a Dental america.html and a four-year Nursing america.html to create world standard quality dentists and registered nurses.
